At Bombora, we don't just build furniture; we craft pieces with purpose, beauty and longevity.
We are a family-owned and run business who have been passately for creating beautiful and functional wooden furniture for the last 14 years. We are based in the small coastal town of Torquay on the Victorian Surf Coast.
Sustainability is our priority. Our factory is solar powered for the majority of the year and we prioritise sourcing our materials from local suppliers. Our design methodology is functional and timeless, creating pieces that will belong in homes for generations to come.

What if I want a custom timber vanity?
We love to bring our client's bathroom dreams to life! Aside from our portfolio range of modern timber vanities, we can create a custom piece from an inspo image or sketch. Contact us for a quote!
What are your standard allowances?

Can you install my vanity?
No, we don’t install. Your trades such as builder, carpenter or plumber are well versed at installing vanities.
Are your timber vanities sustainable?
To create our custom vanities we use either certified sustainably harvested timber such as FSC or reclaimed timber.
We mainly use Australian timbers such as Messmate or Tasmanian Blackwood. These timbers are locally sourced in Melbourne or Geelong to save travel miles and support small businesses in our local community.
Our factory is solar powered for the majority of the year.
Are your timber vanities made in Australia?
All the timber vanity and melamine components are created by our team of furniture makers in Torquay, 90 minutes from Melbourne. The stone tops and mirror doors are created in Geelong.
Do you make a recycled timber vanity?
Yes, we are lucky to have a couple of fantastic local wood suppliers to make our recycled timber vanities. The reclaimed wood we can source is Messmate, Ironbark, Blackbutt and Jarrah.
What are the internals made from?
We offer either white melamine or timber options for the internal structures of our vanities.
Wood Internals - Our timber internals are crafted from sustainably sourced hardwood and matched veneer, offering not only natural beauty but also repairability, biodegradability, and longevity.
White Melamine Internals - White melamine creates a surface that is modern, easy to clean and budget-friendly. Our melamine is rated E0 and is moisture resistant.
Is wood ok in a wet room?
Timber has been used to construct buildings and bridges for all of human existence. As long as the Osmo finish is correctly maintained, the surface remains stain and moisture-resistant.
Can I have a stone top on my vanity?
All of our vanity designs can be altered to have a stone top. Our standard is the stone ambassador “pearl white” however you can select from the entire Stone Ambassador and caesarstone ranges. Additional charges do apply.
What runners and hinges do you use?
All of our timber vanities are created with quality soft close blum runners and hinges.
The blum antaro range runners are used for the vanities with melamine internals.
Blum Movento runners are used for vanities with solid timber internals.
Where are your melamine internals made?
Our melamine internals are also created within our workshop by our team of furniture makers.
Can I add an LED strip?
Yes, we can rebate in an LED channel to the base of your vanity for an additional charge of $200. This channel includes a cover which is a diffuser.
You will need an electrician to install the LED light strip once your vanity has been installed.

Do you delivery Australia wide?
Yes we deliver our bathroom furniture Australia wide using either furniture movers or the Fedex network of couriers on a pallet. Contact us for a quote!
